Hinton Manor Restoration Appeal
The SVR Rolling Stock Trust, as owners of 7819, is keen to return the loco to service on the SVR when it returns from Swindon.
The Trust wishes to explore all avenues open to it, both in terms of financing the work, and physically doing it. It remains to be seen which is the more difficult!
7819 will, of course, always be associated with Ray Tranter, who did so much for the loco in its SVR restoration and service to date. We would like this association to continue, and would wish to dedicate the overhaul and return to service, to his memory. We must therefore get it right!
